Safety leadership is supported by Jason T. Miller, STSC, whose qualifications include OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA 510, confined-space training, and fall-protection training. His background includes safe-work planning, jobsite audits, contractor supervision, hazard mitigation, incident management, and heavy-equipment operations.

Safety and Standards Questions
Safety planning may include reviewing site rules, the assigned scope, access conditions, fall exposures, lifting activities, equipment use, weather concerns, emergency procedures, required PPE, and project-specific work plans.
The crew must also understand how its work interacts with other contractors and ongoing site operations.

Work at height requires planning around access equipment, tie-off requirements, approved anchor points, changing weather, material handling, activity below, and rescue considerations.
The applicable project plan, equipment instructions, and workplace-safety requirements govern the work.
Lift planning and equipment use depend on the assigned responsibilities and project requirements. Operators, signal persons, spotters, and crew members must understand the planned movement, work area, load-control methods, exclusion zones, and communication procedures.
Equipment must be used within its intended capacity and according to applicable project and manufacturer requirements.
These standards address different parts of a tank project:
- AWWA D103 relates to factory-coated bolted steel water-storage tanks.
- NSF/ANSI 61 addresses health effects for materials and components that contact drinking water.
- NFPA 22 addresses water-storage tanks used in private fire-protection systems.
